Genomic DNA
Description
High molecular weight genomic DNAs purified from blood or other nonglycogen-containing tissues to obtain intact genomic DNA with reduced turbidity. Based on modified salt precipitation procedure, DNA is recovered free of protein and RNA contaminations, on average is >100 kb in length, and has A260/A280 ratios between 1.7-2.0.
All donors of human genomic DNA was tested negative for HIV-1, HIV-2, HCV, HBV and syphilis (PCR, ELISA).
Storage

Store at +4°C.

Storage buffer
10 mM Tris-HCl pH 7.8, 10 mM NaCl, 1 mM EDTA.
Applications
Southern blot analysis, DNA amplification, genomic research.

Quality control

spectrophotometric control; absence of contaminating nucleases; tested for integrity in PFGE.
